As a wildlife conservationist and safari guide from Nairobi, I recently enjoyed a tranquil stay at Rocks in Zanzibar. While the resort's culinary offerings may not match the vibrant flavors of Swahili cuisine found in local Nungwi town eateries, Kendwa Rocks surprised me with its innovative fusion dishes. Dining at the on-site restaurant, I savored a delightful blend of Swahili and International flavors, each dish a cultural mosaic on my plate.One evening, as the radiant sunset painted the sky, I found myself sipping a tantalizing cocktail at the beach bar, blissfully immersed in the coastal ambiance. The live music during breakfast added a rhythmic touch to my mornings, enhancing the dining experience.Although the hotel's culinary offerings may not reach the heights of neighboring eateries, Kendwa Rocks' commitment to creating a dining experience embedded in Swahili and International culinary traditions is commendable.
